The Athletic Brewing marketing team is seeking a new team member to join as a Social Media Associate. We are seeking a social media creator to help further define and evolve the voice of Athletic Brewing on Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, TikTok, and beyond. This individual would work with the marketing team to continually evolve the Athletic Brewing social media handles in a way that attracts new customers, builds more robust engagement with existing customers, and successfully delivers on strategic plans.
As a social media associate, you are excited to start creating content and interviewing teammates around the brewery in Milford, CT or San Diego, CA. This candidate will have demonstrated experience with content curation, copywriting, and adaptation across different social media platforms. The social media associate will report to the Digital Marketing Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage day-to-day on owned social media channels including planning, execution and reporting timely insights to key stakeholders
  • Embody and enhance the brand voice through best-in-class copywriting, curating content, community engagement, and personalized customer interactions
  • Brainstorm, ideate, and deploy platform-centric content that keeps up with trends
  • Review existing social content and analytics to identify and deploy areas for improvement
  • Strategize and test content on organic social media and put forth ideas for other digital platforms
  • Engage with the ongoing consumer mentions, direct messages, and overall inquiries across all social media platforms
  • Utilize your phone to create content at our brewery with and without talent/ teammates
  • Curate UGC, team, and influencer content for tagging on our website and leveraging for paid ad spend
  • Assist in the creation, development, ordering, and budgeting of Influencer samples and materials
  • Sync up social media strategy and campaigns across platforms and apply to email marketing strategy
  • Provide the digital team with social media content to use on omnichannel platforms
  • Assist on behind-the-scenes content at the brewery (Milford, CT and/or San Diego, CA)
  • Assist in market research projects and key consumer insights initiatives
  • Assist in partnerships strategy and execution

Desired Experience/ Traits
Who You Are:
  • A strong track record and personal curiosity in social media management, posting specs and trends.
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines and be a “self-starter.”.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, listening, critical thinking, and outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Honest, Dependable, high integrity, team player, and passionate.
Skills and Experience:
  • This is a highly collaborative role, and the ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience working in this environment
  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
  • Proven ability to schedule, manage and deliver projects on time, as well as executing multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong communication skills that can flex to fit any platform, media, character count or audience
  • Move fast and pivot in response to new trends and opportunities
  • Familiarity with project management platforms is a plus
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and scheduling platforms is required
  • 2-3 years of experience in social media is required
  • Skilled with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrate a high level of creative thinking
  • Familiarity with social listening is a plus
  • Content creation skills are a plus
Job Details:
  • Location: Milford, CT or San Diego, CA with the option to work remotely two days a week.
  • Salary: Commensurate with experience - Base salary and opportunities for performance bonuses.
