Soul Sour is our beloved Black History Month brew and a limited release with a never-ending mission. Crafted in collaboration with Black brewers, artists and changemakers, it’s a refreshing and timely reflection on the power of unity. It highlights the flavors of blueberry, lemon and mango and boasts a richness of flavor and culture, alike. With a sweet nose, crisp body and slightly sour finish, it is both vibrant and bright, and smooth and tart.

100% of Soul Sour's profits will be donated to organizations helping to break down barriers in the brewing industry. Profits will be distributed between Lifting Lucy, the Sacred Heart University Brewers Scholarship Fund and other impact programs.

The 2023 release features all-new artwork by Sierra Leonean-American and DC-based illustrator Sabrena Khadija. Inspired by Black art of the 90s found in everyday homes, it features a bright and vibrant Black community with African Geometric Patterns woven throughout.

Three years ago, our brewer Dontrel came up with the inspiration behind Soul Sour: a brew that highlighted the flavors of blueberry, lemon and mango that could represent Black Lives Matter (BLM) in its own unique way. Today, his recipe remains untouched – a vibrant brew with a resilient spirit.
